TEDxYouth@CorpusChristi is a unique event where local students from around the Coastal Bend in Junior High and High School will have the opportunity to share interesting ideas, talents, and performances with the Corpus Christi community. TEDxCorpusChristi’s 2012 “Share Your Voice” was a great success, and now it’s time to hear what our youth have to say.

There are four ways you and your students can participate:

  The top 3 ideas will automatically be included in the event.
• Attend the live event!

  We are streaming live the entire TEDxYouth@CorpusChristi event. All you need is an internet-connect computer.

Quick FAQ

• Who can participate in this event?
  Any school-aged student is welcome to submit an idea for a talk or performance. In the spirit of TED, we are looking for great ideas people need to hear, but also powerful, dynamic performances that people need to see and hear!
• How are ideas for talks or performances selected?
  Community members will have the opportunity to vote on the ideas for talks and/or performances they want to see and hear most. The top 3 ideas will be automatically be included in the event. All other talks and/or performance will be chosen by a speaker-selection committee.
• Are there any other criteria for speaking or performing at the event?
  Yes! All speakers/performers must attend at least two speaker-coaching session AND a “dry-run” performance to participate in the event. Selected speakers/performers under age 18 must have a media release form signed by a parent/guardian.
• What are the technical requirements for hosting a viewing party at my school or business?
  Hosting a view party couldn’t be easier. All you will need an internet-connect computer and access to a video projector and speakers.
